Response to ‘too early to stop immigrant vaccination programmes’.
- Authors
Suijkerbuijk, Anita W.M.; van Steenbergen, Jim E.; Sonder, Gerard J.B.; Lindeboom, Robert; Doorduyn, Yvonne
- Abstract
The article discusses the response of the authors about the commentary made to their manuscript on vaccination programmes for Turkish and Moroccan children for hepatitis A virus (HAV) in the Netherlands. They emphasize that it is less essential to carry the programme with these children. They agree with the comment that such immigrants are not one risk group. They stress the need to interpret with more care that risks for travellers to Turkey are lower than those travellers to Morocco.
