- Abstract
Prof. Dr. Jeanette Erdmann, a renowned cardiovascular geneticist, has passed away at the age of 57. She had a successful career as a professor at the University of Lübeck and the German Center for Cardiovascular Research, where she made significant contributions to the field. Her research focused on identifying genetic risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and conducting population studies. In addition to her scientific achievements, Jeanette was a dedicated mentor, supervising numerous Ph.D. and MD students and advocating for women's empowerment in science. This text consists of personal reflections and tributes from individuals who had a close relationship with Jeanette.
