- Abstract
The article "The Power of Internet Giants (II)" discusses the dominance of internet giants such as GAFA, GAFAM, or GAMAM (Alphabet (Google), Amazon, Meta Platforms (formerly Facebook), Apple, Microsoft) and their impact on the market. Although monopolies can have negative effects, competition law allows for the formation of monopolies through innovations and investments. The problem arises when companies exploit their market position to eliminate competitors. The article provides an overview of the current state of the discussion and includes an interview with Tabea Rößner, a member of the Bundestag from the Alliance 90/The Greens, on the topic of illegal content.
