- Title
Bacterial fish diseases: Environmental and economic constraints.
- Authors
Tanjung, Cahyani Fitrah
- Abstract
While the book provides a comprehensive overview of bacterial fish diseases, it would have been more beneficial if it had included more information on the ecological, economic and social factors involved in preventing and treating bacterial diseases in aquaculture. They also highlight the impact of pollution on fish and the need to understand the epidemiology and microbiology of fish illnesses. Aquaculture plays a crucial role in meeting the growing demand for food worldwide, with fish providing approximately 17% of the global population's animal protein intake (FAO, [2]).
