- Abstract
This article discusses the use of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) gratings to enhance the punching shear behavior in reinforced concrete flat slabs. The article presents various studies that have investigated the influence of GFRP reinforcement on punching shear resistance in concrete slabs. Experimental testing and numerical modeling were conducted to analyze the effects of different parameters on the punching shear behavior of the slabs. The results showed that the presence of GFRP gratings increased the failure load and toughness of the slabs, with varying effects depending on the specific parameters. The study also compared the results with different building codes and found variations in punching shear estimations. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the use of GFRP gratings for strengthening concrete structures.
