- Abstract
This paper shows how the content produced by the communication teams of the football clubs in Brazil emerged as an alternative for the traditional media to get interviews and images at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the main sports competitions were suspended around the world - including training. The study was developed having Redação SporTV, from the channel SporTV (audience leader in 2019), as the object of analysis. This TV program was chosen for being the first specialized one in sports in Brazil to adapt to the home office format. Thus, the broadcast was kept even when the workers of SporTV were instructed to go into confinement. As a methodology, content analysis was used - applied to a total of 30 programs recorded in two intervals -, in association with interviews, in order to obtain more precise and complex results.
