- Abstract
This article discusses a new method for accurately localizing esophageal tumors in radiotherapy planning. The study compared this new method, which involved drawing a polyline on sagittal CT images to mimic the endoscope's pathway, with the traditional method that assumed a fixed distance. The results showed that the new method improved tumor localization accuracy. However, the study acknowledges limitations such as subjective interpretation and a small sample size. Overall, the new method shows promise for improving precision in radiotherapy targeting for esophageal cancer patients.
