The Other Side of the Line.

- Abstract
Blood is pulsing with every heartbeat. I grab the green plastic hemostat with gauze and clamp the central line. It was only about 3 minutes but it seemed like an eternity. I was so thankful for the training that provided me with the necessary skills to know what to do to do if a central line breaks. Our Vascular Access Team gave me the tools, education, and helped me prepare for a moment like this. This is a success story.
