An essay is presented on the history of the Charlottetown Baptist Church and other churches in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada. It states that the Charlottetown Baptist Church was founded in 1836 by a group of persons led by Thomas DesBrisay, owner of Apothacaries Hall. Information is also provided on Reverend Donald Gordon MacDonald who wanted to build an octagonal church in Charlottetown, and met architect Thomas Alley to design the same with brick and stone.
