The article reports on the significance of agricultural economy in Viennese court of the Habsburg monarchy of Austria during 1765 to 1806. It focuses the impact of Josephine reform on farm economy. It is argued that the complexity of the farm economy exemplifies the elaborate Court organization in Vienna and the associated high costs.
