- Abstract
The article presents a study of Jewish medicine during the Holocaust focusing on its trends and characteristics of development in the medical field. The article also discusses the lives of Jews in ghettos dealing with the extreme conditions and limitations in the ghettos. Topics include writings of Holocaust-survivor physicians, German policy regarding illness and health, and principles of public health. The works of Dr. Mark Dworzecki, a physician who lived in Vilna Ghetto is presented.
