- Abstract
The article cites a case study on the identification of a major locus for Paget's Disease of Bone (PDB) on chromosome 10p13 in families of British descent. Genotyping was done on 210 persons as subjects. Standard techniques with 382 microsatellite markers were utilized, wherein multipoint linkage analysis was made through the GENEHUNTER program based on homogeneity and heterogeneity. The gene within the chromosome is linked to the development of PDB in most families of British lineage.
