- Abstract
The effect of chemical inhibitors in two human in vitro systems for detecting antibody-dependent (ADLC) and direct lymphocyte-mediated cytotoxicity (DLC) was studied. Both reactions were inhibited by cytochalasin B and by depiction of divalent cations. The immunosuppressant methylprednisolone inhibited both reactions. No inhibition was found with 6-mercaptopurine. DLC was inhibited by puromycin and actinomycin D whereas ADLC was not. No inhibition was found with mitomycin C.
