The article discusses the impact of COVID-19 on South-East Asia. Topics include Southeast Asia struggles to gain traction in the COVID-19 pandemic and address its economic damage, leaders are hobbled by conditions that make forging a regional approach to the virus more difficult; several leaders face political challenges as their domestic populations struggle under the worst recession in years; and China's attempts to disrupt oil and gas explorations of the Southeast Asian claimants.
