- Abstract
The article presents information on stylebooks issued by Associated Press and United Press International Inc. to be referred by journalists. The latest edition of the book has more than 250 pages containing more than 5,000 entries arranged alphabetically. Facing these many pages of heterogeneous information, the bewildered student knows he cannot memorize the entire book. To solve this problem, the old 52-page stylebook originally adopted in 1960 furnishes useful guidelines. The instructor can largely follow the approach used in that book, guiding the student through some of the most important rules organized under several major categories.
