- Abstract
The article discusses the study conducted to examine the pressure and impact of invasive marine algae Kappaphycus alvarezii on the coastal ecosystem using scientific results and environmental impact assessment (EIA). Topics discussed include need of urgency and importance of preserving corals, anthropogenic impact on algal competition on the coral reef ecosystem, and restricting the photosynthesis of symbiotic algae associated with coral.
