- Abstract
The article provides an analysis of countering epistemic violence by referring to webcomic Qahera and FEMEN, a group of topless female activists, in the Arab world. Topics discussed include the social condition of Muslim women, cultural practice of head covering, role of media towards Islamic culture, and FEMEN's focus on physical depictions of Muslim women, and FEMEN's focus on physical depictions of Muslim women.
