Five Public Sector Financial Institutions to Merge.
- Abstract
The article reports on the merger of five of the eight public-sector financial institutions entirely or partially funded by the Japanese government after the approval of the Administrative Reform Promotion Law. It establishes rules for policy financing reform and the reduction of total servant personnel expenses. The total policy financing will be reduced to half the gross domestic product and the enterprises in question will be privatized. The Japan Bank for International Cooperation will be converted to an institution providing international research development funds.
