- Title
THE LINLITHGOW INTERLUDE OF 1540 AND LYNDSAY'S SATIRE OF THE THRIE ESTAITIS.
- Authors
Walker, Greg
- Abstract
The article discusses the similarities between the Interlude played before Scottish king James V and Scottish author and poet David Lyndsay's play "Satire of the Thrie Estaitis" of 1552 and 1554. It suggests that Lyndsay's first modern editor Douglas Hamer argued that Interlude was a version of Satire but other critics disagreed. It adds that some critics show that there are differences in their content and dramatic structure.
