- Title
PICking apart Pol II initiation.
- Authors
Carey, Michael
- Abstract
The article offers the authors insights on the study of the Hahn and colleagues regarding RNA polymerase II (Pol II) preinitiation complex (PIC) which is considered as one of the most intricately regulated macromolecular structures in eukaryotic cells. He mentions that the cross-linking data of Hahn extend the theory of Cramer and colleagues. He states that the authors of the study have presented an intriguing model concerning their PIC assembly in crude yeast extracts.
