- Abstract
The article focuses on the study which provides evidence that Mycobacterium marinum, which infects zebrafish, exploits granuloma formations in bacterial proliferation. It references a study by J.J. Davis et al published in the 2009 issue of "Cell." They have capitalized on the transparency of zebrafish embryos to formulate real-time techniques to investigate granuloma formation. They also found that RD1 locus is essential both to induce the death of infected cells and to summon new macrophages.
