- Abstract
The article presents a research study concerning the bacterial pathogen Helicobacter pylori which stimulates a pro-inflammatory response in gastric epithelial cells using its IV secretion system (T4SS). The study shows that this stimulation can be attained by activating the transcription factor nuclear factor. However, there has been a possibility that the delivery of peptidoglycan into the target cells might not be prevented, instead it will discriminate pathogenic microorganism.
