Abstract
The article reports that according to a study conducted at University of Toronto, Ontario freshwater stingrays chew their food as mammals do. Topics discussed include protruding jaws away from skull while eating and shearing from side to side in process by freshwater stingray Potamotrygon motoro, feeding on insect has made necessary for stingrays to chew their food for facilitating digestion, the views of author of the study on behavior of stingrays similar to goat.
