- Abstract
The article presents an approach to support English Language Learners (ELLs) growth in a constructivist-oriented science classroom. Topics discussed include comparing and contrasting framework for inquiry-based science instruction called the 5E Learning Cycle, framework for language instruction called the Sheltered Instruction Observation Protocol and significant improvements in writing scores of students.
