- Title
THE MEAT-PACKING INVESTIGATION: A REPLY.
- Authors
Weld, L. D. H.
- Abstract
The article presents answers and comments to the article by G. O. Virtue regarding the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's Report on the Meat Packing Industry that was published in the August 1920 issue of "Quarterly Journal of Economics." The author claims that Virtue failed to mention so many evidences of suppression of data, insinuation, and other outstanding weaknesses, making some people think that his article is, at least in part, a justification of the Trade Commission, by whom he was employed during a part of the investigation.
