- Abstract
The article focuses on the benefits of Geographic Information System (GIS) for entrepreneurial applications. GIS is generally regarded as special type of decision support system (DSS). Its primary features includes the ability to link data to maps, an ideal tool for an entrepreneur who tries to settle a good location for a new business venture. It also provides a unique opportunity for students to experience the decision-making process that goes into determining the location of a new business.
