- Abstract
A 45-year-old man developed skin lesions on his right arm and face after receiving the Jynneos vaccine against monkeypox. The patient had a history of atopic dermatitis, urticaria, and hand psoriatic arthritis. Physical examination revealed erythematous papules and plaques on the right forearm and scaly plaques on the forehead, cheek, and chin. Based on the clinical features and medical history, a presumptive diagnosis of concomitant recurrence of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis was made. The patient was treated with oral betamethasone and showed improvement at the follow-up visit. This is the first report of atopic dermatitis and psoriasis flare-ups after monkeypox vaccine administration. Vaccinations may trigger immunological diseases in genetically predisposed individuals.
