- Abstract
The article discusses issues in Islam that adapted physical education teachers in Virginia should be aware of. It stresses the importance for adapted teachers to understand Islam-related factors to be able to improve the education of students practicing Islam and whose number is growing. It mentions that girls with a heritage from Afghanistan should not be asked to remove their head covering and instead allowed to participate in a safe environment. It adds that teachers need to consider Islamic Holy Days in planning special events.
