- Abstract
The clinical and histological features of three patients with primary knuckle pads are described. Knuckle path are a clinical entity, characterized by well-formed skin-coloured nodules, affecting the proximal and the distal interphalangeal joints of the fingers. The condition is infrequently seen in clinical practice. Only a few reports are available in the English literature (Allison & Allison, 1966; Ban & Pumphery, 1967; Marginson, 1955). Indian literature has hardly any report of this condition emphasizing its rarity in India. The purpose of this communication is to report three cases of this condition in order to focus attention on its clinical presentations and diagnosis.
