- Abstract
The article discusses a study that was performed to assess the effectiveness of pressure controlled and volume controlled ventilation during prone position in spinal cord injury patients. Topics discussed under study include division of patients under volume-controlled ventilation (VCV) and pressure-controlled ventilation (PCV), use of general anesthesia in patients and statistical analysis. The study concluded that PCV is more effective in decreasing peak inspiratory pressure (PIP).
