Title
Unexplained Attack.
Abstract
The article reports that troops from Nigeria and Cameroon were put on high alert in the Bakassi Peninsula after the unexplained slaughter of five Cameroonian soldiers and a local government official on June 9, 2008. Both countries are claiming the territory and their troops were involved in long, deadly skirmishes along the border for many years before the International Court of Justice decided on the issue in 1994.
