- Abstract
The article reports that Climate Prediction Center of the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has forecast a 51 percent chance of La Niña in early 2023. It mentions latest report of the Intergovernmental Panel on climate change (IPCC) shows that strong episodes of El Niño and La Niña have been more frequent and intense since 1950 than in the previous centuries due to climate change. It also mentions causing a cold snap in the eastern equatorial Pacific Ocean.
