The article offers information on the hip-hop culture and luxury fashion and the role of African Americans in it. Topics discussed include the hip-hop artist Kanye West and his luxury fashion house, the views of writer Elena Romero on hip-hop artists' desire to wear luxury brands, and the use of African American body for commercial purposes of luxury fashion. Also mentioned is the book "Slaves to Fashion" by Monica Miller.
