- Abstract
The article discusses the literature review on the management of the nursemaid's elbow. Nursemaid's elbow, which is the sudden subluxation of the radial head, results from the forcible traction to a pronated hand or wrist while the elbow is extended and often occurs among children. The literature review found that the fracture is common among girls and the left arm, and its diagnosis is based on history and physical examination. Reduction of the fracture is achieved using a pronation maneuver.
