- Abstract
The article offers the author's views on the prospects of greenhouse gas emissions abatement legislation of getting passed as a result of U.S. President Barack Obama's commitment towards fighting climate change and a supporting U.S. Congress. He states that the key goal of the legislation should be to restore U.S. credibility as the leader in organizing carbon abatement efforts. He remarks that policymakers should decide about nuclear energy as an alternative to fossil fuel in developing countries.
