- Title
VOTING WITH YOUR FEET IS NO SUBSTITUTE FOR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS.
- Authors
Laycock, Douglas
- Abstract
The author explains the concept of voting with your feet, which he claims insufficient to protect other constitutional rights in the U.S. He considers specific rights and the range of possible deprivations to perceive the difference between acceptable and unacceptable pressure to the concept. Also discussed are ways through which the vote-with-your-feet ideology undermines national unity. He provides illustrative examples to expound the concept.
