- Title
Electron-beam treatment of drinking water in an industrial system.
- Authors
Strokin, N.
- Abstract
The first results of the electron-beam treatment of drinking water performed with the use of an ELV-8 electron accelerator (energy of 1.6 MeV; beam power of 50–60 kW) incorporated into an industrial system for water intake and transmission from the Angara river are reported. The throughput of the system was at least 50 m3/h in terms of disinfected and purified water at an energy consumption of 5 kW h m−3.
