- Authors
Vasquez, Melba J. T.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the effect of the decision of the U.S. Supreme Court in the case of Troxel v. Granville to the ethnic minority groups. It says that the decision of the court has established a policy contrary to the belief of ethnic minority groups and sent negative and insidious messages to the values reflected among them. The author suggests that court determination of child visitation and custody should consider the best interest of the child standard and cultural values as well.
