- Authors
Burton, John; Walters, Lisa; Trill, Suzanne
- Abstract
The article presents a narrative bibliography of scholarly writing on earlier 17th century literatures written in English. It is divided into two parts, the first part deals with general writing while the second part focuses on women's writings. Mentioned general scholarly writings include a collection of essays entitled "Environment and Embodiment in Early Modern England," an exposition of the social clubs and groups of the period by Michelle O'Callaghan entitled "The English Wits: Literature and Sociability in Early Modern England," and proceedings from an open lecture series on the body at the University of Wales. The second part offers information on autobiography/life-writing and a renewed engagement with the question of women/s political agency.
