Narrative Reasoning and Analogy: The Untold Story.
- Authors
DeSanctis, Christy H.
- Abstract
The article discusses the narrative reasoning and analogical reasoning. It states although narrative reasoning is considered as a strong persuasive tool, it does not end necessarily where more argument's rational forms start. It mentions that ofttimes, narrative reasoning is used for presenting different legal arguments to legal audience. It says that narrative reasoning is dependent of the analogical reasoning, complementing and underwiting analogical reasoning. It suggests that analogical reasoning and narrative reasoning are forms of reasoning which are distinct, and can never be combined.
