- Abstract
To identify the relationship between the use of psychoactive substances and the manifestation of mental disorders and to characterize the profile of the patients attended in the Caps Alcohol and drugs of a municipality located in the interior of São Paulo. This is a quantitative approach, performed with active patients undergoing treatment at the Center for Psychosocial Care Alcohol and Drugs. The collection took place from July to August 2018, with a structured interview with 17 active users in the service. The analysis revealed a higher prevalence of male, white and brown skin color, single and natural of the state of São Paulo, the substances used varied between alcohol, crack, tobacco, cocaine and marijuana, psychiatric comorbidities: schizophrenia disorder, anxiety, depression and bipolar. Knowing the psychiatric comorbidities and the profile of the patients served collaborate for the quality of the care provided, considering its importance for the prognosis and planning of interventions.
