- Abstract
The article discusses the U.S. Federal Reserve Board's issuance of a final rule on April 3, 2013 which reportedly establishes requirements for determining when a company is predominantly engaged in financial activities. Title I of the U.S. Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act is addressed, along with the nation's Financial Stability Oversight Council, systemically important financial institutions (SIFIs), and bank holding companies. Nonbank financial institutions are examined.
