- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 71-year-old woman with severe staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS), a skin condition develop due to the exfoliative toxin (ET) produced by Staphylococcus aureus. Topics discussed include the administration of multiple treatment including intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG), the general malaise and rashes develop on the limbs and trunk, and the observation of the development of blister formation under stratum corneum.
