- Abstract
The end of the Cold War, the advent of Globalization and the War on Terror have marked a new international scenario where the Transatlantic Partnership needs to be re-interpreted. This paper casts light on the Transatlantic Dialog and explores the ways in which Europe and the United States have adapted to the new world order, articulating the necessary tools and strategies in order to respond effectively to global goals and challenges. The contribution analyzes the evolution of the U.S.-Europe strategic partnership since its formal establishment, paying special attention to current times. Certainly, it casts light on the origins and grounds of the relationship, examines key documents, and outlines tools and mechanisms developed. Finally, from a critical perspective, reflection is brought on the necessity of the essential partnership between Europe and the U.S., identifying the elements or factors indispensable for a strong partnership in order to deal with the complex international society of this 21st century and build up a better world.
