- Title
Could Skeletal Muscle Mass Index Predict Postoperative Complications in Intestinal Surgery for Crohn's Disease?
- Authors
Luo, Jiahao
- Abstract
This retrospective study explored the relationship between skeletal muscle mass index (SMI) and major postoperative complications of patients who underwent surgery for Crohn's disease (CD). Second, although the authors claimed that this was the largest published cohort investigating SMI with regard to major postsurgical complications for CD, a total of 230 patients with 32 (13.9%) experiencing major complications limits the power of this multivariate analysis.
