The article explores the United States Maritime Law, citing the issues on the Supreme Court decision on the case of Nortfolk Souther Railway Co. versus Kirby, pertaining to troubled waters of international cargo shipping liability. Apparently, the United States adheres to an international cargo liability scheme first developed in 1924 and has undergone ramifications which has influenced the advancement of international maritime and multi-modal transportation law.
