- Abstract
The fact that higher education institutions can fulfill their functions in a qualified way reveals the concept of quality. Increasing the quality of education and training, course syllabuses are one of the most important factors in higher education. The aim of this research is to analyse the syllabuses used in higher education, to create a theoretical framework and to present a sample syllabus. In the research, a descriptive model was used. Since the document analysis technique is used in the study, it has a qualitative feature. The study group of this research was formed by criterion sampling. For the purposes of the research, 10 domestic and 10 foreign course syllabuses were examined, and the analysis process was carried out with a rubric developed by 2 experts, including the researcher. In the research, the data were collected in line with the document analysis technique stages and analysed with the document analysis method. As a result of the comparison of the syllabuses used in domestic institutions with syllabuses abroad; it was concluded that domestic syllabuses included the dimensions of "teaching methods, rules and principles, academic honesty, disability and available support services" less, while they included the dimensions of "learning outcomes, reading lists and materials" more.
