- Abstract
Creative thinking, which refers to thinking out of; is a multidimensional process that includes original and different thinking. Creative thinking emerges from being able to think in the face of events in a coordinated, multidimensional, and different way. Creative thinking is one of the essential components of information processing processes such as making connections between information or situations, discovering new connections by ignoring the usual connections, and making observations. The purpose of this research is to develop a valid and reliable Creative Thinking Disposition Scale for students aged 9-15. This research was carried out in the quantitative method in the screening model. The population of the research consists of students between the ages of 9 and 15 who receive secondary education in Turkey. The accessible population for this study consists of students aged 9 to 15 who are enrolled in formal secondary schools in central Elazug province. Non-intersecting samples were created from the population for EFA, CFA, testretest, and equivalent form applications by the gradual sampling method. After providing the surface and content validity of the draft items created in light of the literature, the structure of the scale was determined with EFA. As a result of the DFA the model fit was confirmed. A Cronbach's alpha coefficient of .80, a Spearman-Brown Coefficient of .75, and a Guttman Split-Half Coefficient of .75 indicate a high level of reliability, while a coefficient of stability of .71 indicates that the scale is stable and consistent.
