- Title
Use of better technology to tap potential.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the issues associated with and the potentials offered by solar energy. According to an article published in the April 21, 2008 issue of "The Tribune," the use of thin-film solar technology had lowered the dollar-per-watt rate of electricity. Industry optimists estimate that the solar technology sector will grow from $7 billion in 2004 to $40 billion by 2010. It is also revealed that companies in the U.S., Europe and other countries have launched efforts to take advantage of copper indium gallium selenide (CIGS) for thin film technology.
