- Abstract
A model of a shaft with four discs was identified from measurement data by a nonparametric technique based on Fourier analysis. The model validation was performed by a comparison with a finite element model. The results were correlated using the MAC (Modal Assurance Criterion). In spite of poor control over environmental noise and support stiffness, a good estimation of basic modal parameters is achieved with an appropriate reliability measure.
